Man using a dropper for the best CBD oil, gold bee

Are you on the fence about taking CBD? Maybe you’re looking for more information to see if it’s truly right for your everyday regimen - well look no further! Here we will discuss some ins and outs of CBD along with a CBD business that may have the best CBD oil, Gold Bee.

Why is the Best CBD Oil Gold Bee?

There are several top-selling points about Gold Bee CBD oil that may make you want to consider using it. Some cool things about them are:

  • They use third-party lab testing for quality assurance (checking purity and potency)
  • Products are non-GMO, organic
    • Meaning free from toxic ingredients (heavy metals, synthetic fertilizers or pesticides)
  • Products are made from USA-grown (California farm) hemp
  • They use CO2 extraction to obtain “CBD-rich resin”
  • Have oil potency ranging from 300mg - 1200mg available in each 1oz bottle
  • Oils come infused with MCT oil as the base liquid (no bitter taste!)

It’s worth mentioning that Gold Bee’s Best CBD Oil harnesses the power of the entourage effect. Because they are able to use the whole plant to create an extract, the actions of the different CBD compounds work together to create a more powerful effect on the body. An example of this at work is the presence of terpene (fragrant molecules) and flavonoids (phytonutrients) in the oil all working together to make the benefits all the more stronger for you to experience.

Gold Bee has been around since 2019, and has since then created other products such as gummies, capsules, honey sticks, and dog treats! These are all easily accessible on the Gold Bee Website for your own review or purchase. Even more awesome is that shipping is free and if you are not satisfied with the quality, you can get a full refund if they’re notified within 45 days of your purchase! That sounds like pretty good customer service to me.

How to take Your Gold Bee CBD Oil

Gold Bee has done an awesome job describing on their site how to take their CBD oil.

Step 1: Fill the dropper with CBD oil by squeezing the rubber end with the tip of the glass dropper in the oil then place it under your tongue. Hold the oil there for 30-60 seconds before swallowing.

Step 2: Because of the blood vessels under your tongue, holding the oil speeds up the rate at which you can feel the benefits

Step 3: After swallowing, wait 15-20 minutes, longer if it was swallowed without holding it under your tongue.

So, What on Earth is CBD??

CBD stands for cannabidiol, which is an exogenous cannabinoid that comes from the cannabis sativa plant. Cannabinoids are essentially chemical messengers that are capable of different actions within the body.

There are two varieties of Cannabis (indica and sativa) and CBD products come from the hemp variety. Unlike the other compound, THC, (tetrahydrocannabinol) which comes from cannabis indica, it won’t get you high. Because of its lack of psychoactive characteristics and negative side effects, the popularity of CBD products has drastically grown.

CBD extract is derived from most parts of the cannabis plant - meaning everything from the leaves to the stem and flowers. A scientific method of making CBD called CO2 extraction allows the resulting extract to embody CBD’s full spectrum of benefits.

CBD works in multiple pathways in the body but its most significant action is done in the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Within the ECS, like most networks in the body, are a series of receptors - particularly CB1 and CB2 receptors. As so clearly put by the Gold Bee website, these receptors are responsible for different things:

CB1receptors are located mostly in the central nervous system and are responsible for:

  • Movement
  • Coordination
  • Memory
  • Mood
  • Pain
  • Appetite

CB2 receptors are in the peripheral nervous system and immune system and affect:

  • Inflammation
  • Pain

CBD can affect these aforementioned receptors so the individual taking them can feel the positive effects associated with them.

But that’s not all! Outside of the ECS, CBD can also influence our mood and stress response due to its action on the 5-HT1A serotonin receptors. What was mentioned here is just the tip of the iceberg of what CBD can influence. Other processes it also gets involved in are ion channels, nuclear receptors, neuronal tasks, and neuroprotection.

Types of CBD Extraction

There are different methods to obtain CBD products from Cannabis. According to research provided by Baylor University Medical Center, these methods include:

  • Carbon dioxide extraction
  • Ethanol extraction
  • Solvent extraction with olive oil

Depending on the method, the final product can be categorized as full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolate. A full-spectrum CBD extract indicates that all elements of the plant were included (terpenes, flavonoids, etc.) with a <0.3% THC amount. Broad spectrum means it contains almost no amount of THC. Finally, isolate CBD is pure CBD but normally comes from Cannabis sativa.

Why We Want Full-Spectrum CBD

The best CBD Oil by Gold Bee typically uses full-spectrum extracts for their products. But why does full-spectrum hit different? Since it incorporates other elements (terpenes, for example), their presence can also act on the cannabinoid receptors influencing painkilling and anti-inflammatory aspects. It can also speed up the rate at which they take effect. Per Gold Bee, they use CO2 extraction (considered the best) to come up with a full-spectrum extract that has:

  • CBD
  • Minor cannabinoids
  • Terpenes
  • Essential oils
  • <0.3% THC (not significant for a high effect)

Ways to Take CBD

Different ways to take the best CBD oil, gold bee

The awesome thing about CBD products available now is that you take them in varying forms and different concentrations. Your method of choice relies on your preference for consumption and what you’re taking it for.

Your method of application affects how much CBD will be absorbed. As discussed in other articles on our site, ailments such as back pain can benefit most from topical creams - as the absorption is localized and more concentrated depending on where you apply it.

It’s worth noting, like most new health supplements you start taking - start low and go slow! See which dosage and frequency works best for you a little at a time. Furthermore, Baylor University’s article conveniently listed a table on CBD products in decreasing order of bioavailability [1]:

  • Vaping/smoking (MOST bioavailable)
  • Suppositories: Vaginal or rectal
  • Sublingual/oral mucosal - a tincture of spray held under the tongue for 45-60 s
  • Nasal sprays
  • Capsules
  • Topicals: Transdermal patches, creams, lotions or oils
  • Edible (LEAST bioavailable)

What is MCT Oil?

Gold Bee’s CBD oil uses MCT oil as its base. You may be wondering what MCT oil is. MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides and is made of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs). It was initially created around the 1950s as a byproduct of coconut oil and has since then been developed into a health supplement. It is now typically used as a fat source in high-fat (ketogenic diet, for example) or high-protein diets.

MCT oil can be used medically for malabsorption, frailty, and Alzheimer’s - as a 2022 study in the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Journal states, “Ketones are an alternative source of cerebral fuel, MCT is a nutritional source ketones.” Long story short, MCT is gaining recognition as brain and body fuel.

My Brief Experience with CBD Oil

I stumbled upon CBD oil upon moving to Maui in 2015. I started working in a new location for my job and basically moved somewhere with no friends or family - it was a fresh start. While I was excited about my new life transition, there were so many changes all at once that I had adrenal fatigue and stress from work.

CBD oil fell into my lap by way of a community agriculture group that delivered local produce to my door once a week. A local Maui company started making their tinctures available for delivery! I’ve had experience taking tinctures before and thought CBD would be a nice addition to my regimen.

While the dose escapes my memory, what I clearly recall was its nutty flavor profile and resemblance to other oils such as olive oil. So, if you’re not a fan of the slippery consistency, taking CBD oil may not be your favorite method! I would hold the liquid under my tongue for about a minute, and feel notable effects of stress relief within the hour.

My best way to describe CBD oil's effects on me would be that I felt more grounded and in the right frame of mind to tackle the day. Tasks that would normally feel overwhelming now felt doable and maybe even slightly enjoyable!

Without the oil, I can easily define myself as an overthinker - I felt the difference when it came to situations that would normally spark this part of me. It was almost like taking a meditative state with me - but in a bottle. So, if you like to feel chill while being productive, I’d say CBD oil is the way to go. My favorite part about using it was how portable and discreet it was, too!

While I no longer take CBD oil for my everyday consumption, I would very likely use one of the best CBD oils, from Gold Bee because of their purity and the fact that their cannabis plants are USA-grown. Using products that are grown locally is important to me because I like to consider time and travel for processing. After all, why use produce grown on the other side of the world when it’s available from a closer location?

The Best CBD Oil, Gold Bee: Conclusion

When it comes to CBD products, just like any other health supplement, you’ll want to do your research and Gold Bee has done a great job at being transparent with their business. My favorite part is how they do third-party lab testing and with all the toxic ingredients out in the world today it’s hard to find products that are clean and pure! I don’t necessarily bat an eye at the price as you get what you pay for - quality! If you’re still warming up to the idea of trying CBD products, we also have a skin salve for pain that you can try.
